KETO SUSHI | How to make Cauliflower Sushi | KETO APPETIZER RECIPE
a lot of people miss sushi when they'reon the keto diet and I'm not talking
about Shashi me you can still have thatbut this is like California rolls
regular sushi and so I'm here to tellyou how you can make a keto style
version of a California roll that isinspired by Carolyn Ketchum's book Easy
Keto Dinners but keep watching to seehow I make it
so up first I'm going to show you how tomake a wasabi cream that you could
actually dip into your sushi or drizzleon top of it afterwards but it starts
with some mayo this is three tablespoonsof mayo and then we're gonna add a
tablespoon of water to it and then topit off with some wasabi paste and then
stir everything together until it'sevenly combined and set it aside
so I'm making a California roll so I'mgonna use some crab meat this is canned
crab meat you don't want to use theimitation crab because that's filled
with sugars but this has zero carbs init so this is what I'm gonna use for my
sushi so once you got it open it up anddrained you're just gonna pour it into a
bowl and then we're gonna add a littlebit of stuff just to jazz it up a little
bit we're gonna add some mayo and thensome sriracha sauce for spice and
sriracha does have carbs in it it'sreally not that much for the whole thing
you could always omit it if you don'twant to have the the sriracha maybe if
you don't like spicy but this is more ofa spicy California roll
and now on to the rice of course we'reprobably gonna be using califor so if
it's a keto recipe that I like to usethese bags from a green giant because
you can see them and they're really easyto make and so we just pour this into a
bowl and then the ingredients that weadd is three tablespoons of sesame seed
oil and then a teaspoon of rice vinegarand I kid you not you guys this tastes
exactly like sushi rice it's really goodit does not taste like cauliflower at
all and now we're ready to assemble ourroll so on a sheet of sea-weed here I'm
just gonna pack down on my rice into athin layer and of course I'm gonna have
the whole recipe of us two down below -so you guys don't have to try and
quickly jot - all this down so make sureyou check out the description box where
the full recipe will be
and then we're gonna add our layers so Ihave the crab meat going on there
and then you can stop at this point oryou could go a step further and add some
yummy cream cheese and then even somecucumber and avocado or I don't know
hard-boiled egg or whatever floats yourboat
and next I am going to use my sushi chefabilities right here and roll this
sucker up I really did a fantastic jobat this sucker here and so as soon as
you get it rolled up just kind of smushthe edges together because I think
that's how they do it and then use areally sharp knife and then cut through
it and you're gonna do a piece at a timelike probably about like half-inch shoe
maybe about an inch in thickness andthen if it's hard to cut your knife
because it gets all goopy you can justactually wipe it off with a towel or dip
it in some cold water and it makes iteasier to slice through and there we go
that's our sushi and so you candefinitely drizzle it with that wasabi
cream we made earlier or dip it in thereor just dip it in some soy sauce and
this is fabulous guys this will make aperfect appetizer especially if you are
hosting a New Year's Eve event this yearso definitely do this recipe let me know
in the comments what you want me to makeyou in the future and see you in 2019
WE ARE MAKING KETO SUSHI! IT’S AN EASY KETO APPETIZER RECIPE USING CAULIFLOWER RICE!! Sushi was probably one of foods I missed the most when I started the keto diet. Then I discovered, keto sushi!! Thanks to Carolyn Ketchum’s book Easy Keto Dinners which has a recipe for a keto sushi bowl, I was inspired to make cauliflower sushi! Specifically keto California Rolls! This recipe is a no rice sushi recipe. It uses cauliflower rice instead of no rice or regular rice. But it doesn’t have that gross cauliflower taste. When you mix the riced cauliflower with some rice vinegar and sesame oil, it tastes like real sushi rice! This is an easy keto recipe! I can make this in less than 30 minutes. I plan on making these for New Year’s Eve and serve them as a keto appetizer. So next time you are craving keto japanese food, just use this recipe to make some keto sushi rolls!
